The CSIR/JRF/NET is a national level test, which is held by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for recruiting the candidates for only Assistant Professor or both for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in the Indian Colleges and Universities.
GATE (or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is an entrance test conducted by IISc Banglore and seven IITs for students seeking admissions in postgraduate courses at top colleges in India such as IIT, NIT, etc. GATE scores are also used by various PSUs like DRDO, IOCL, ONGC, NTPC, BHEL, etc.for the recruitment of eligible candidates at various positions.
